Awesome Black Designers: Edward Wilkerson

Edward Wilkerson decided at the age of 10 that he wanted to become a fashion designer, and at that young age began to make that happen. Today, with 29 years in business, Wilkerson, known for his beautiful size inclusive modern clothing, is the Design Director for the multimillion dollar women's sportswear company , Lafayette 148 New York. But, fashion is not Wilkerson's only passion. He is also known for his interest in photography, the arts, and in supporting various charitable organizations. Awesome Black Designers: Tracy Reese

African American fashion designer, Tracy Reese has been in business for 29 years! She is known for women's ready to wear clothing, accessories, and home designs. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Ms. Reese was educated at the very famous Parsons School of Design. She recently designed First Lady, Michelle Obama's dress for her 2012 Democratic National Convention speech! Here is some of her Spring/Summer 2013 collection just shown at New York Fashion Week. Awesome Black Designers: Byron Lars

Forty eight year old American fashion designer, Byron Lars has been in business for 22 years. He is known for designing ready to wear collections, sexy shirtdresses, and a custom designed wardrobe for undoubtedly the most famous doll in the world, Barbie. His label is called, "Byron Lars Beauty Mark". Lars' designs have been worn by  Olympic gold medalists Sanya Richards-Ross, Carmelita Jeter, and Allyson Felix, and even First Lady, Michelle Obama.
