More Brown Paper Bag Style: Jill Sanders' Paper Bag Purse

Just recently, I blogged about a Brown Paper Bag Jacket made out of, of course, brown paper bags, varnish, and duct tape, and selling for almost $500! Well, here's some more brown paper bag couture! Check out designer Jill Sanders' Brown Paper Bag Purse called the Vasari, which was introduced at her 2012 fall/winter runway show! The purse, which looks exactly like the brown paper bag you took your lunch to work in, is laminated with a protective coating, stitched with brown thread around the sides, has  holes for ventilation, and sells for around $290! A black leather version of the purse sells for $630! Both purses reportedly sold out fast when they hit the stores! Now, you know my next question... Hot or not? Would you spend that much money? Holla at me and tell me what you think! In the meantime, I'll be in the kitchen making my own! :-)

Brown Paper Bag Style!

Hey, make sure you don't throw away those brown paper bags after grocery shopping or lunch today! Why, you ask? Well, it turns out that recently, believe it or not, they have become a big commodity in the fashion industry to create garments and accessories. By covering a vintage jacket with glued on brown paper bags covered in varnish, and duct tape, designer Aki Goto created this paper bag jacket pictured here! The price? A whopping $480! So... what do you think? Hot or not?
